Our Team

  • Laura Goedhuis

    Laura is married with three children, one of whom; Sam, was born in 1991 with Downs Syndrome. Whilst still a full time director of a leading Wine Storage Company, Laura has also made a significant impact in the local charitable sector. Including: Fundraising officer for Tommy’s Campaign, a parent governor of Northgate school, trustee of Self Unlimited, Founder and Trustee of Carefree Northants, a charity for adults with learning disabilities in Northamptonshire.

  • Ned Goedhuis

    Ned is Laura’s son and brother to Sam. He works full time at Amazon and helps drive The Goed Life outside of his working week. Ned works with holidays and respite centres for adults with learning disabilities in centres such as the Calvert Trust.

    He recently completed an Ironman 70.3, a marathon and has committed to the Kindrochit Quadrathlon next June all to raise money for The Goed Life.

  • John Harris ACA

    John is a Chartered Accountant having qualified in 1984. He has been in public practice since 1986, firstly as a sole trader, then a partner in a national firm followed by a two partner practice since 2009.

    He is experienced in a wide range of business and charitable structures and in 2012 was Financial Director to the Merchandising Company appointed to the London Olympic Games. He is experienced within the Charitable sector, also being a Trustee and Advisor to a number of local charities.

  • Jem Lowther

    Jem is a professional organist and choir director, who is currently the Director of Music at All Saints’ Church in Northampton. In this role he works with children and young adults from 27 different schools in Northamptonshire, offering any talented youngster the life-changing opportunity of a first class musical education.

Our Ambassadors

JOHNNY GOEDHUIS

Johnny is Sam’s father and was a trustee at Macintyre for 20 years. He has helped on respite weekends in Cornwall and Norfolk. Johnny also hosts a biennial wine dinner with The Goed Life as one of the primary beneficiaries.

SIMON CARMICHAEL

Simon also started his journey through competing in the Ironman with Ned and Henry. He has since helped organise an evening of Scottish Reeling in aid of The Goed Life and continues to support us.

HENRY WILKINSON

Henry started his support for The Goed Life in competing in the Ironman raising funds for The Goed Life. He also supported the charity at the Golf Day and has made some crucial introductions to the likes of Vodafone who we are looking to run charity days with in the future.

PHOEBE CUTTER

Phoebe ran the Mont Saint Michel marathon in aid of The Goed Life. Since then she has helped us with our social media and website as well as on some of our primary projects.

HUGH & AMANDA LOWTHER

Hugh and Amanda have been exceptionally generous to The Goed Life. They donated their walled garden to the Hortihub as an offsite project in Guilsborough; Amanda donated a percentage of all sales in her winter Exhibition for The British Art Portfolio and as leaders in the Northamptonshire community we are proud to call them ambassadors.

JAKE & CRISTINA GOEDHUIS

Jake (Sam’s Brother) and Cristina (the latest addition to the Goedhuis family) have supported us through multiple fund raisers in London and our various projects in Northamptonshire.
